Nightmare Moon was going to freeze/starve an entire planet, Chrysalis wanted a permanent food source at any cost, Sombra actually enslaved an entire kingdom. Even Sunset Shimmer was going to lead an interdimensional war against Celestia. All of these villains used fear and/or mind control for absolutely horrible things and took advantage of them in that state.
 
Discord liked to make it rain chocolate and used mind control to just watch ponies fight amongst themselves. If he’s evil, he’s substantially less evil in my mind. You’re entitled to my opinion, but I would disagree if one said Discord was actually the most evil villain.

Yea well, at least Journey of the Spark will have Discord make a serious (and temporarily successful)attempt at taking over Equestria (but it’s not expected until 2015).

Why did Discord not try to take over Equestria with all of his power? Why did he waste it just trying to annoy Celestia? He wanted attention, and nothing else.

I actually have to agree with you on this one. It effectively killed Discord, arguably the best villain of the series.

KCAFO was actually one of my least favorite of the season.

They’re still storyboarding? Shit I thought they were at least onto animatics by now, hope they don’t rush anything, I don’t mind if there’s a few weeks hiatus’ between eps.

Well really, McCarthy was the only one who worked on the writing for EQG…I don’t see how it could have possibly affected the writing quality of S3.

Saw the previews of it. Don’t like this one bit, nope. Absolutely detest the main VA in every role he’s ever been in and that’s where I draw a line.

Granted Larson’s leave sucks but there are plenty of other really good writers so we’re in good hands.  
S3 was mediocre but at least that means we have no where to go but up (or S4 could suck so bad we would want it to be the last season).

Do ya’ll REALLY think she meant this was the last season? Note she said: “of the season” not “of the series” It’s just her job is done until next season comes about.

ITT: People assuming that S4’s storyboarding being finished = OMG FINAL SEASON1!1!!

Time to go on a vacation. We all need it at some point.

I felt that the show was winding down back when Season 3 first came out. I was kinda expecting things to wrap up at a fourth season then and am most certainly expecting it to happen to tie up some of the Season 3 loose ends.
