The music was really good and overall a very fun side story. I don’t understand people treating it like it’s the only Gen 4 Pony movie. More will surely come.
Given the premise, I didn’t have hopes that it would be the best darn thing ever or anything, and it wasn’t, but it was surprisingly enjoyable, much like the rest of the show.
Love and Tolerance may not of ever been a important part of the fandom, but it definitely used to mean much more than it does now. I’m not meaning to start anything, I just really wish people would stop complaining so much about anything the show does. And even if you don’t enjoy something about the show, just brush it off. Don’t go around the internet trying your hardest to let everyone know that you didn’t like something. People need to focus on the good and less on the bad. But, for the most part (and not just with ponies) people only focus on the bad. It makes them more hateful towards everything and leads them to post things that nobody really wants to see.
It has it’s flaws but I still found the movie Good and entertaining to watch, and I don’t regret seeing it in theaters or buying it on Blu-Ray.
I also liked MMC, again it had it’s flaws but it was not the worst Episode I’ve seen ( that being Spike at your Service, mostly because they made Spike look like a completely incompetent idiot ).
But anyway these are just my opinions and weather you agree or disagree with me is up to you. Your entitle to your own opinion.
@Ahiam94
I’d love to set up a survey to ask (1) whether “Love and Tolerate” was ever an important part of the fandom and (2) whether it should be something the fandom strives for, though there’s no way to take a survey that would capture a representative cross-sample of the fandom and that would be reasonably tamper-proof.
@ClownDicks
I wouldn’t say that they’re trying to pass their opinion off as fact, rather this is that moment of relief after you’ve watched it and think, “Well, that wasn’t great, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I was afraid it would be, so, really, this is acceptable, all things considered.”
Like, I personally was dreading it, sure it would be akin to an hour of continuously being punched in the soul, and sat down to watch it with a bottle of cheap whiskey in hand. In the end, I was only driven to drink four or five times, Which was considerably less than I expected! I fully anticipated finishing that fifth of whiskey during the movie, and going to bed sloshed and filled with regret.
This picture fairly accurately sums up what actually happened.
People are pretty judgemental over everything about this show. Which is kinda ironic, seeing as how the reason all of us are in this fandom is because we didn’t judge. All I’ve been seeing from bronies is nothing but criticizing everything that comes out. I enjoyed Equestria Girls. It had some really good moments. And, I loved MMC. It had some of the best songs out of the entire series. The only real problem with it was that it was obviously rushed. I just wish that people would stop judging. I guess I just wish that things were the way they were before. Back when “Love and Tolerance” actually meant something to this fandom.
Pretty much.
You wouldn’t have missed much if you didn’t see it. If you did, it certainly wasn’t the apocalypse that everyone said it’d be.
Are there much better episodes? Yes. Are there worse ones? Also yes. It’s still on the lower end of the scale, but of the 65 episodes that have aired before, I’d place it at about slot 40.
