I’m sorry but… “nice” is too generic and void of anything meaningful.  
It’s not very inspiring. Good for morale but there needs to be some ambition.

Twilight’s not evil (yet), just annoying, so I’m not really sure why you say that. As for the promises of the others, well, let’s take a look at what they actually said in these kinds of images:
 
“Friendship has made me the pony and the princess that I am today.” -Twilight Sparkle

“Vote for me and the sky’s the limit!” -Rainbow Dash  
What on earth does that even mean?
 
“It’s the honest thing to do.” -Applejack  
Pure propaganda.

Outrageous. What kind of policy is that?
 
“I believe that laughter is the key to Ponyville success.” -Pinkie Pie  
Doesn’t even make sense.
 
As you can see, in similar campaign posters, there is little to nothing to base a vote on besides flashy language and nonsense promises. I can only assume that your Rainbow Dash ticket price thing came from some other advertisement, but that too is obviously a nonsense promise. Pointless, socialistic economic tampering? Positively silly.

Yet, all the other candidates have made promises regarding things they have a chance of doing. Hell, Rainbow Dash promised to lower the maximum price for ticket sales. And while Equestria isn’t exactly a third world country, there are things that could be done to improve the nation as a whole.  
And even then, saying that good moral fiber leads to good decisions isn’t exactly true. Celestia has had no end of trouble ever since she started that school of hers since the top-scoring graduate always turns evil.

Well, I think we need to clarify what we mean by a political goal. In Equestria, there aren’t many glaring socioeconomic problems anyway, so politicians like Mayor Mare are really just state management. Big plans for reinventing the political wheel would seem a bit weird, especially in Ponyville.
 
As for our real-life politicians, I think they too could stand to make fewer promises of radical change, since half of them are lies anyway. People trying to get elected are well known for saying anything they think will get them votes. I would be most impressed if a campaigner were to say, “Look, improvement can only come about when we realize that there are no flash-bang solutions to today’s issues. They are urgent, yes, but panicking and jumping to conclusions gets us nowhere. Applying consistent, timeless principles across the board is the way we’ll achieve success, and I’m committed to doing so.”
 
Something like that, anyway. The point is, decisions are based on character. “A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart.”

What Fluttershy is talking about is the importance of a strong moral character! Too many politicians these days are corrupt, arrogant, vindictive, dishonest, or biased to the point of irrationality. Fluttershy is promising everyone that at the end of the day, she’s going to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and with dignity, because that’s just who she is!*
