As for Xros Wars, it was second only to Savers, but I like to pretend that the third part never happened.
Well I think part of the problem is that Adventure 02 came right befor Tamers, and let’s be honest here Tamers was FUCKING AMAZING. But yeah Xross Wars sequel, it’s fuckin’ dog garbage.
Oh come on, 02 wasn’t that bad. I mean, it had it’s issues, but this was the second overall season of Digimon, so they still weren’t quite sure how they’d continue the legacy left by Adventure and the V-Tamer manga.
If anything, 02’s problem was in execution, it had a number of great ideas, such as human villains with relatable motivations, rather than just bad guys who are evil for the sake of being evil.
Besides, I hear that the latest season (the Xros Wars sequel) is the worst season by far. I haven’t watched it myself, but it’s pretty much unanimously hated.
