Chocolate American Buttercream Icing

Dark chocolate icing. Can be adapted to mocha.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder

  • 3 cups 10x sugar

  • 1/3 cup milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • * optional Espresso powder

Directions

  1. Melt butter.

  2. Stir in cocoa.

  3. Add vanilla.

  4. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency.

  5. About 2 cups frosting.
