Quite possible, yes. Another unpleasant way she could smell is like something that maybe came out of a swamp. lol
Though I actually had another theory, for how she might smell. I like to picture her having the smell of a rainy day (so a damp smell, but nothing unpleasant), mixed with the smell of a forest/woods.
Even though I like Chrysalis, I imagine she has that gross chitin smell, like when you find a crawlspace full of dead roaches.
