For design clarification: I hc changelings as having the ability to be any colour, the changelings we see in-show just full-on reject Chrissie by being bright colours. The multiple eyes are just a design choice. As for the weird gem things, they’re emotion storage vessels (old changelings didn’t have them bc Chrysalis was overworking her drones and they were all basically starving). The more intact frill mane/tail is similar to the gems, they’re damaged in most old changelings
