Condoms are exclusively for sperm, that is what they are designed to stop though could help with bacterial infections (not viruses that are 200x smaller than sperm or diseases that can easily spread around in other ways). They might help reduce risk and contact, but they are hardly preventative.

As for the stereotype, there’s a bit of truth to it but it’s not a bad thing. Fandoms like ours provide a sense of engaging, long-term escapism (especially to the more socially reclusive) which wouldn’t be required when real life feels awesome. The weary, poor, rejected, weirdos, lost, downtrodden, outcast… we are the ones who tend to flock around fandoms [the hardest].

A guy with confidence, money, and athleticism who feels like he’s getting enough out of his sex life is [generally] not going to feel the need to escape real life by excessively playing video games, writing fanfiction, or joining up for fantasy roleplay sessions.

Not universal of course, there’s also always casuals, but there’s a logic behind the madness.

That kinda plays into an unfair stereotype of the fandom. There are a multitude of reasons why people could be in that position.

I was also a considered a late-bloomer with my first time at 21. I also agree with you on the BJ thing. It was never a thing looked out for and it took me until my 30’s until my (then new, now ex) girlfriend offered it to me. I hope the first step Twi did in her research was to find out if her partner is even into oral at all. Because frankly, it would be very much like her to just accidentally skip that part, research the heck out of this topic and then realize she did it for naught, basically.
