Description
“Alright everypony! This painting is called ‘The Monochrome Mare’.”
Ms. Cheerilee stated while gesturing towards the painting beside her. The Cutie Mark Crusaders and the other colts and fillies gathered around Cheerilee and the painting. “Ms. Cheerilee! What’s so interesting about this painting?” Applebloom asked. “Yeah, it’s just a picture of a black and white pony.” Scootaloo said. “Well, if you read the description at the bottom. You’ll understand why it’s different from the other paintings. Now, who here would like to read the description?” Sweetie Belle raised her hoove and yelled “I do!”. “Very well, Sweetie Belle.”
Sweetie Belle cleared her throat and started to read. “The Monochrome Mare. A strange painting of a mare with a black and white mane. It was found in an abandoned house in the EverFree Forest. There is no signature of the painter, so nopony knows who made it.” Sweetie Belle looked at Cheerilee. “That’s a pretty short description.” she stated. “Yes, that is why it is considered the most mysterious of all the paintings and sculptures in this museum.” Everypony stared at the painting. “She looks like she’s sad.” said Applebloom. “Or maybe she’s sleeping.” added Scootaloo. “I don’t think I know anypony who sleeps standing.” Applebloom said giving Scootaloo a confused look.
“Alright, my little ponies! Let’s continue on our tour.” Cheerilee said, leading the group to another area of the art gallery. Unaware, of the Monochrome Mare’s eye watching them leave the room.
