Description
“I’ve been chasing this guy since the first rumors of a super-powered earth pony in a hood and cape started drifting through the city streets. And for the past six months–six months, mind you–I’ve been picking up every little story about him I can get; every little whisper, every eyewitness sighting, every testimony from perps he’s left behind who were willing to squeal. And I’ve been getting flak from just about every other news outlet in this city for it. I’ve had ponies calling me crazy, calling me a wannabe tabloid writer, calling my boss crazy for keeping me around. But you know what? I plow through it all and do my darnedest to not let it put me down. Because I know I’m right. I know it’s all true. I wouldn’t be chasing this story if I didn’t think it was. I hold the truth in pretty high regard. So when I say to you, ‘yes, there is a Supermane’…I’m gonna stand by that to my dying breath.”
Meet Lucky Lead, rising young star at the Daily Planet newspaper in Manehattan, famous–and infamous–for her groundbreaking articles on the newly emerging Supermane. With a relentless drive to seek out truth and justice, but hampered by occasional recklessness and a craving for hearing she was right, Lucky Lead still has a little ways to grow on her path as an ace reporter in the making. But with her coworkers and friends Dawning Hope and young photographer Quicksnap at her side, and perhaps a little help from some of the Elements of Harmony, cracking the Supermane mystery should be a cakewalk. Not like any of them might be keeping any secrets, now would they?…
