Basically, the main character winds up fighting this cute girl who tries to kill him and take his place in his family of space mercenaries. The group the girl belongs to happens to be made up of alternate versions of his family. The girl is his alternate version.
 
When they finally joined forces, he noted that she was pretty cute, until the alternate based on his mom sweetly (read: warned) him that she would be EVER so happy if he would look at said girl as his sister.

I don’t know if this discussion was assuming clones in the sense like identical twins (identical DNA, grew up with different experiences), an exact copy up to the instant they were created (except female) or something else. It’s hard to know what rule 63 of a human is, just another girl really, there’s nothing to go off (unlike ponies) of unless they had identical experiences, except they were a female.

This clone talking reminds me of that time I casually read about identical twin studies on me textbook… It said they were alike in several things, even though their life experience differed significantly. That’s sort of how I think it would work out with a clone.
 
Maybe genetically the same, yet molded differently by a their idividual circumstances and lifestyle.

Yes very debatable, but even though at the moment the clone is created they have identical memories/personalities etc. they are different bodies and minds, what happens to one doesn’t effect the other, as well as one has no control over the actions of the other, for that reason they seem like different people.
 
Think about it this way, if someone made a clone of you, and said they’re now going to kill you because they don’t want two of you, how would you feel? You wouldn’t think if you’re killed it’s okay because the other one is you as well. They kill you you’re dead, even if there’s a clone in the room.

Well technically the DNA would be quite different, an entire chromosome to be precise. And theories like that (this one I assume has something to do with smell effected by DNA) only go so far, biology is not exactly a cut and dry science. I think it’d be weird and awesome at the same time. You’d have all the same fetishes ^^

Duh.

It’s been proven that the more different the DNA, the more sexually attracted a human is to another human. So perhaps humans wouldn’t normally be sexually attracted to their clones.
