As usual, money is tight. Derpy is having trouble making ends meet and now the rent is due again. She just doesn’t have the bits…she & Dinky are going to get evicted over Hearth’s Warming Eve.
It’s seems like she’s the butt of every joke in town. She ruined the roof of Town Hall, dropped and expensive piano at her 2nd job and trained the apple-bobbing tub last Nightmare night. Sometimes Dinky comes home from school crying. She doesn’t want to tell her why but Derpy coaxes it out of her; the other foals at school tease her because her Mom is such a screw up.
Maybe the world would be better off without me.
Derpy goes to the bridge to jump off and end it all but is met by Princess Luna, who shows her a vision of how Ponyville would be if she had never lived.
You see where I’m going with this. She begs to live again so Luna returns her to the real Ponyville, where all her friends have heard about her troubles and taken up a collection to help out.
See Derpy? You really are the richest mare in Ponyville.
