Well to be fair, some ponies hammer nails with their hooves (perhaps while wearing horse shoes) and you can probably hammer nails with magic so it could just be that she’s never had to use a hammer to drive nails

Well, there goes my headcanon that Rarity’s dad taught her some handyman (hoofypony?) skills. Well, there’s always the “use feminine wiles” strategy.
