Actually, I think the writer very effectively argues against Hasbro’s marketing blurb; I just don’t think that blurb, aimed at Hasbro’s idea of their target audience, is going to accurately represent the movie as made by DHX.

But what if people want to act that way? Why should a girl feel bad for liking traditionally feminine things? Why isn’t there a similar stigma against boys liking traditionally masculine things? Just let people do what they like to do. Telling little girls that liking “fun and fashion” is bad is just as bad as saying liking learning and books is bad.
