While I’m still recovering from my procedure and feeling out the limits of my spine (My pain relief has dropped off; they injected steroids to reduce the swelling from the puncture sites which don’t last very long) I’ve been continuing to do sketch work and light arting just so I don’t have another massive lul in my art postings.

This time, it’s Queen Celestia (Because… let’s be frank, the only reason she was a princess in the show was because ‘princess’ is a lot cuter than queen.) and rather than have her just be a little taller than the others, I kind of pictured her as less royalty and more like Optimus Prime, towering over everyone else. Even in the show, she was about twice as big as the others, so I continued that trend here.

In addition, it was a lot of fun to show all the girls in a crowd shot to show off their different heights and body shapes next to each other.

I’ll probably be posting more sketchy stuff in the coming week while my body adjusts and I’m better able to tell how my spine is progressing. With any luck, after the pain from being stabbed in the spine totally fades, I’ll find a good 25-50% reduction in my daily pain.
