Maybe not in the early seasons of FIM, but during the later ones Celestia and Luna were perfect for the roles.

I can kinda see Twi as Kermit, and maybe Spike could be Gonzo… but I just can’t really see Celestia and Luna as Statler and Waldorf… then again, there aren’t many mlp characters that could fill those rolls
