Edit: Someone added the “messy mane” tag, I removed it and just want to say to be careful cause Misty’s hair is afro texture so I wanted to show that. I debated adding the “fluffy mane” or “afro mane” tags but decided not to emphasise on the mane. I don’t believe there was any malicious intent but just want to mention, it can be an issue if people see afro textured hair as messy.

again i was literally explaining why i tagged it bc the artist thought it was bc of the mane texture and i didnt want them to think it was bc of that omg this is ridiculous
You’re forcing your opinion (because that’s what it is) on wether this hair is messy or not. Artist is saying it’s not messy so it isn’t. You’re saying twice that it’s messy as if it’s a fact like ??

I for sure won’t be coming to you for advice on how to draw afro hair, nonetheless how to draw if you cannot respect another artist’s artwork. I gave you an explanation twice and was nice about it, I did not ask for your critique either. If you want to ignore my boundaries, then do not interact with my art. Thank you.
Well yeah but afro textured manes don’t have cowlick hairs like this anyway so it gives the impression of just curly hair.
And regardless of intention, you did still draw it messy
Why add the tag again when the artist doesn’t want it added for their personal reasons? The hair wasn’t intended to be perceived as messy as said in the description, so no need to add it.
Hey Briar, if you perceive it that way then alright but I have already explained that I don’t agree with the tag. Coiled hair still has strands and detail, this is how I drew that detail for some flare, it is not perfect but it’s something to show what Misty’s mane texture is. If any tag should be used, as the artist, I prefer the alternatives “Afro mane”, “fluffy mane” and “coiled mane”.
