Description
Recently been getting back into colorful honses, so I’ve begun redoing my MLP next gens. These two are Twilight Sparkle and Brad Chad Waifu Stealer Flash Sentry’s sons, Breaking Ground (alicorn) and Bright Star (earthie). Bright Star actually had a different design before (it’s from my now essentially dead old dA account), but I’ve since redesigned him to make him stand out more from other Flashlight next gens. I know the brony fandom generally dislikes alicorn ocs, but I wanted to try my shot at one

- The brothers have a big age gap, with Bright Star having been born while Breaking Ground was a teenager. As a result, they have a bit of a difficult time relating to each other, but they do love each other.
- Like with his cousin Flurry, Breaking Ground was born an alicorn and it had caused quite a storm for the press when his birth was announced and he was presented to Equestria. It’s unknown why exactly he was a naturally born alicorn and it’s something he’s trying to figure out.
- Bright Star works as a rescue pony, often patrolling areas after a disaster occured and making sure that all creatures are found and kept safe
- Each of them inherited something from their grandmother, Magna Carter, Flash’s mother. Bright Star is an earth pony like her and it’s from her that Breaking Ground got his brown coat.
- Bright Star moved to Ponyville when he grew older but still regularly keeps in touch with his family.
- Having been born first and an alicorn to boot, Breaking Ground was expected and trained to be his mother’s successor, but the pressure and expectations that come with it have worn him down quite a bit. Not many ponies know about this part of his character, but his younger brother and father do and they often try to help him through it.
- They got their names from something that had happened when they were born. Breaking Ground’s cries after he was delivered were so loud that they reportedly caused an earthquake in the immediate vicinity, thankfully it was short-lived. Bright Star was delivered just at the moment that Flash noticed well…a bright star in the sky, one that he found was just as beautiful as his wife and newborn son after the birth.
- Bright Star’s close to his uncle First Base, Flash’s younger brother. While this doesn’t mean he doesn’t love nor get along with his materal uncle, it just so happens that First Base can understand him better. The both of them do feel a bit overshadowed by an older brother, especially given the fact they’re earth ponies, and it’s not exactly something Shining Armor would understand on the same level.
- Breaking Ground stays with his parents and alternates spending a day with them, this is to help train him both as a diplomat and warrior and also so that he gets to bond with them.
