A very interesting book contrasting the eight major religions of the world, demonstrating they are not different paths to the same end or the same god, but are very different.

 

In my country, there are mosques, not churches. But I don't visit them. I hate them for spreading superstition, ignorance and blind hatred.

 

I am an apatheist.

 

To say you hate the mosques in your country is a harsh statement. Tolerance of other's beliefs might let you sleep better at night. Hate will eat away at you and destroy what happiness you have.

Yes, but not as often as I should or have in my past. We should reflect on our lives and what we're doing to them and decide what respect we have for ourselves and God. God is the answer to everything. I am at odds with the Catholic faith due the corrupt pope who has been leading the church to oblivion IMO. Attending church and really reflecting on what we're doing gives us a chance to get back the respect we once had besides other things. Damn, forgot what I was going to say..... I'm no prophet nor am I totally into church, but I believe we should attend it somewhere and somehow and I do mean religiously.

 

No, waste of time unless you just want to meet people. Never for religious reasons.

No. I grew up going to church as a kid.now it’s been so long since I have been in a church I’m afraid I’ll be struck by lightning or burst into flames.

 

Yes, I attend church regularly, as in every week. I realize that puts me at odds with most of my posts here. I guess I've got the Jekyll and Hyde syndrome. Hope no one hates me for it.

 

I go to church when I have to. For a wedding, a funeral mass, or a confirmation. I go when I want to , I’m not obligated or demanded to anymore because I’m an adult

I’ll stop by every once in awhile and throw $5 or $10 in the box and light a candle, and pray for my deceased parents , friends, and loved ones. I believe in God. I think it’s good for everyone to have faith and believe in a higher power. But I’m not going to church to listen to someone who chose the priesthood over becoming an electrician. He’s a man just like me and he’s not going to preach to me about what’s right or wrong. I respect his devotion and faith, but he still gets a hard on because he’s just a man like me

In the United States Evangelical churches are said to preach hatred. I have attended Evangelical church services. I never heard hatred preached. In the various denominational church services I have attended I have never heard homosexuals condemned. The only people I have have known who expressed hatred for Jews were atheists.

 

I usually attend church, but I missed last Sunday.

 

I lost my faith in my teens and havent been to church since.

Not for religious purposes. I have no religious beliefs at all. I do visit some of the older churches, the architecture can be very interesting.
