They seem to be friends if nothing else, since they’ve interacted and the one scene had Lyra carrying Bon Bon’s bags (or the other way around, don’t remember). I didn’t mean it had to be a romantic relationship, but it seems like something.

Show has hinted that they like stand near each other occasionally. But I agree that it means what it means.

Only because Lyra and Bon Bon are background characters with no established personalities (so we have freedom to get creative with them) who tend to be paired together almost all of the time in fanart and fanfics, and the show has “hinted at” a relationship of some kind between them more than once. As opposed to say, the Twilestia or Raripie animations, considering that they’re both using developed characters who we could assume when never actually do that with each other.
