I was never expecting her in it anyway.

I’m gonn reach as far as saying the cocoa thing was inspired by her and some of the windows look like kites. Also, spoilers.
We weren’t aware of the internal issues. Besides they tease “crystal” a lot too.

And the rather glaring fact she was willing to change. You can’t tell me she’s still bad because of sheer deliberate ignorance.
I guess things changed significantly after a while, and the people I mention are few nowadays. I like Starlight ever since her villainous days as well. The poeple who do rag on Starlight are usually really harsh though. They’re usually keen on remembering what Starlight did as a villain and still rake her across the coals over that. It’s always frustrating for me to see that, like people forget she was still a villain and that’s just what villains do.

Actually I was there and remember it vividly.🙂 Many people disliked her because of her motivations behind her actions & rapid reformation. It shook me too at the time. A couple episodes into season 6 and not many cared anymore. By season 7 virtually nobody felt that way anymore. Future writing more than made up for it.

You guys weren’t there when people actually raged out when she made a slight cameo, and you clearly haven’t seen people like Ring Team’s opinions toward her. She split the fanbase so much she has her very own section in the “Base Breaking Character” page of My Little Pony TV Tropes. She has fans sure, but she definitely has many, many haters, especially after her reformation.

Well, with how Starlight gets less and less appearances in later seasons because of how badly she was received, I don’t know if they’d think that’s a marketing positive. Unless they finally turned around to look at the fans who like her.
This, plus the color scheme within the name, all but confirms it is indeed referring Glimmy. To do otherwise would be insane levels of incompetent marketing on Hasbro’s part.
