Adding Posey to MYM and making her similar antagonist to Sprout was also dumb so who knows

And he was more of an antagonist than actual villain in the movie
I don’t know why he isn’t in TYT. But he is in MYM, so my theory: maybe they just add him to the new episode because of Canterlogic and they want to show us that he is still a little bit cheeky and he can’t be the sixth member of Mane 6 because of that. Or maybe he has a grudge against Mane 5 and in next episodes of MYM he will join Opaline because Misty will leave her.
I tought Sprout will be sixth member of main cast like Sunny, Hitch etc. but now it’s confirmed that Misty will be in Mane6, you can see it on IG @equestriadaily_mlp - on Misty toy’s box is information: ‘‘Misty joins Mane 6’’
Like Tempest Shadow, even though she almost didn’t appear at all in Friendship is Magic, she is still a main character in My Little Pony: The Movie.
