It would be like comparing a laptop with an abacus just because both can perform calculations XD

Well, one thing for certain is that even with regulation AI is not going anywhere anytime soon, anyone with a descent GOU can already run most of the existing AI from home, and there’s already countless copies and variants wandering around, Also, AI is already restricted… in countries like Venezuela… so yeah, I’m not so sure if following their example would be the best idea ever… even with the restrictions people in that country have found a way to use it anyway :v
And well, with how much progress we have achieved lately AI is only going to be able to do more and more impressive stuff in the future, still can’t do math tho, sadly for me T-T

I have hope with the AI issue, I mean, I think they eventually will be more regulated and even restricted. Have you guys read the news? Recently there has been people making fake OnlyFans profiles using AI-generated images to scam, some hackers are trying to leak viruses in ChatGP, imitating the app to steal people’s information from their phones, and even if you thought the artists gave up about the AI art, the discussion is still on and many people is dissatisfied about their art getting stealed. With some hope, the things will get regulated and crossing the fingers, even restricted how I said before. Some think incorrectly AI is the future, but I beg to differ.

Tbh I agree for the most part with you on this one~ this was supposed to be a discorded version of my friends who is doing her PhD on AI~ She has taught me a lot about how it works and what can and can’t do~ It’s a really interesting technology that is still on it’s infancy~

I’m probably going to get hate for this, but you can’t just straight up ban it. In fact, I doubt the majority of people don’t even know what the AI is, let alone not even using it, or even know how this new technology works. I’m willing to bet the influencers on Twitter and so forth never bothered to even learn what it does. It’s literally them complaining and telling people to not use it or learn what it is.

It’s plain ignorance.

We should use it as a tool to further our talents, not ban it and think it’ll go away. It’s here to stay, just like all the other technologies humanity has made, along with the internet.

What I’m strongly against is it being used to replace human artists. However, the tech can be used to help humanity get better in getting stuff done with humans still doing much of the work with it.

Cant put that genie back in the bottle.
