We recently played a pen and paper adventure based on the german system “Plüsch, Power & Plunder” (Plush, Power & trash/loot/trinkets) where plushies are alive and young shieldren can actually talk to them and see them move around, while adults only notice that the plush is suddenly there. In this universe not only the plushes are alive, but fears of children also become alive (like personifications of nightmares) and children can get abducted into “the void” and will be listed as “child ahs run away from home and was never seen again).
We where the plushies of a 4 years old girl. You see Schutschulu, Packi the dark-magic-i-will-conquer-the-world Alpaca and obviously Derpy. We had our adventures with our girl and one of her friends during the daytime, before we needed to go to the bathroom to get cleaned - it’s not easy to reach the sink if you’re just 20~30cm (8-12inch) big. Afterwards we needed to get back into our room, but sadly the cat of the house faced us, the big meany claw machine, always ready to rip open our seams. Packi, with his powerfull magic, casted fear on that monster and it left us alone.
When it became night we spend some time with our human - obviously, until… we noticed some clacking steps and the power went out. Our girl woke up from a nightmare, totally panicking. In the meantime whatever entered our room rushed under the bed, just to grip the feet of our girl when she got out of the bed. It tried to pull her UNDER the bed!! We pulled and pulled, but weren’t strong enough. Meanwhile Packi casted a ball of fire at that monster, but it didnt loosen it’s grip. So Derpy rushed under the bed to give that monster a good whack! And then we saw it… a porcelain doll with black spider legs. Derpy was scared and sprinted away, but the monster managed to atack her… and ripped open a seam on her belly - reducing her to 1hp, and her filling started to pour out :( Even worse, it was now runing at Derpy. Schutschulu was thinking fast and graped that monster, flinging at at the other side of the room. At that moment our girls mother entered the rooms and the monster vanished in a dark cloud. Mother told a good-night story to our girls while she fixed Derpy.
So we saved our human from getting dragged into the dark void - never to be seen again. We where very proud about it!
