I guess my basic thinking on the issue of Rarity having hired a sex worker at at least one point in the past is this: An attractive woman can easily find a guy who wants to sleep with her, but what’s harder is finding someone who she also fancies, and who will be good in bed and not just slobber mindlessly over her. Rarity has high standards and is a busy mare, so randomly going to a nightclub or something and fending off all of the unsuitable guys to try to find one she actually does want to sleep with, well…that’s a lot of work.

So a busy mare might, if they felt the need, just call upon a stallion who they know will be attentive and focused on their pleasure, and then leave afterwards without getting weird about it or attached. I mean, imagine the guy who you deliberately had a one-night stand with suddenly deciding he is “in love with” you and now won’t leave you alone.

Or that sort of thing.

That occured to me too. The counter point is that there are relatively few male characters in Equestria, and most of them are villains. Plus she seems to be into bondage to some degree. So it might be a lot easier to just deal with a professional.

I have always felt that mares outnumber stallions by a fair margin throughout Equestria, which might make mares a bit more aggressive when an opportunity presents itself. [IRL, mares outnumber stallions 52% to 48% in births in the two studies I found.]

Really nice detail on the bra, and even the little straps holding it.

The amount of detail Stellarator puts into the images is incredible. Like the velcro tab in Twilight’s shorts waistband, to allow for the tail. You really have to look at everything at least twice to avoid missing things.

I find it hard to imagine Rarity has ever had to hire a professional for sex.

Sometimes when you are a busy mare, you don’t want to go cruising singles clubs in the hopes of finding somepony who is nice and not a total lout (after all, she’d have to fend off how many horny stallions?) and then hope they are also good in bed. There is a time and place for just calling in a professional who you know will do right by you, and then let you get back to things.

Final panel: that is a very pretty bra Rarity is wearing. Like, I would definitely get accused of perving on her honkers (and I’m not going to argue that those don’t look nice too) but I am genuinely staring at the pattern on her bra.

It is! I can’t take credit for the design itself, though I did recolour it.

Interesting thought. Though the idea is that Twilight needs to fiddle with it to calibrate it and make it work properly, since it’s just a prototype.

All in-universe sources indicate that she would be considered highly attractive by most and she doesn’t have the princesses’ need to avoid national scandals by cruising bars to find a stallion that takes notice. (Although I can’t fault her for jumping at the chance to jump someone with a triple royal seal of approval.)
