Not much is known about this mysterious mare. She lives alone in a small cottage on the outskirts of the Everfree Forest. Sunflower Honey is almost exclusively self-sustaining. She rarely has to make the trip into Ponyville for supplies, thus she doesn’t interact with many. When the bat does go out, it’s almost always at night.
Honey enjoys sewing, gardening, and reading. She is very fond of all kinds of woodland creatures and often has her home full of them. Due to her isolated nature, she can be a bit socially awkward and tends to avoid others when she can. Despite this, she has a very caring and almost motherly demeanor, especially towards those who are sick or injured. She temporarily housed a hippogriff who had fled Mount Aris when the Storm King took over. They lived together for quite a few moons, though eventually Hoppescotch (not yet pictured) returned home once word spread that the king had been defeated. He still visits his unlikely friend regularly and the two have a close bond. Sunflower Honey is also close with another Everfree resident, a zebra stallion named Atlas (also not yet drawn). The two share a love of animals and literature.
Recently, a group of bat ponies under Princess Luna’s command have been sent to the Everfree to investigate reported changeling sightings. This is where Honey met fellow bat pony mare Midnight Rouge (again, not yet drawn). The two are complete opposites, and Midnight’s flashy and flirty personality often gets on poor Honey’s nerves. She has proclaimed Midnight Rouge her bitter rival, but the mare may find that being different might not be so bad.
Not much is know about Sunflower Honey’s family or early life, and she refuses to speak about it when asked. This, along with some odd behavior and mannerisms, have led some to think that this mare may be hiding a prolific secret. Is she?
Stay tuned!
