This is the sixth Starfleet ship to bear the name Sunset Shimmer.
The Rudell-class starship is well known for the EQG-shaped saucer (shaped like the EQG logo). The class is also equipped with highly advanced phasers and trillithium torpedoes, advanced shields, a Class 10 phase cloaking device, and a Class 12 princessium transwarp drive, giving the class speeds up to transwarp 9.9999999.
(The ship class is named after Ishi Rudell, animation director for the Equestria Girls franchise.)
