“Canon” just means same continuity. It’s not a measure of quality, despite what a lot of people will insist. Like, The Dark Knight isn’t canon with Return of the Joker, Return of the Joker isn’t canon with Assault on Arkham, and Assault on Arkham isn’t canon with The Dark Knight, but all three are amazing. I personally think people try too darned hard to justify why everything IS canon or just pull that multiverse nonsense, which is ironic because it doesn’t even matter is something is canon in the first place. It’s like they’re trying to fix something that isn’t even broken, you know? XD

Then there are bronies, and I am one of them. There are ones who just roll with the show and play along with whatever they like, there are ones that like to analyze the story and world for fun, there are ones who would take in any kind of raw pony material whether it is from the staff or the fans, and there are ones who have a vision of the true “canon” where nothing else is allowed to interfere. I believe that I belong in the happiest group.

“Okay so there’s canon, there’s non-canon, there’s ‘should be canon’, there’s ‘dear Twilight why is this canon’, and ‘that never happened I don’t care what anypony tells me.”
“But I thought if it happened, it was canon.”
“Hitch I am ready to slap you across the mouth so hard. Anyway…” :P

She’d be like “there’s canon, there’s non-canon, there’s ‘thank Celestia it’s non-canon’, and ‘I’d sell my soul to Grogar to make this non-canon” :P
