yeah, I was hoping they would show how the three tribes reacted to the other pony kind arriving into their towns for the first time. They could have done a whole season just on the three tribes learning about each others culture. But instead they jump right into the three tribes already mixed and interrogated together, and annoying each other with their new powers. Oh the fanfic of those first meeting points would be fun to read.

At least he wasn’t an born dragoncorn or alidragon. All the animals this series seem to be have gotten upgrades, maybe whatever caused that also effected dragons too?

Not to mention that Sparky’s color and design reminds me a lot of Nazboo from Shimmer & Shine.

And even better, this one comes with a set of wings from the get go, just like Sunnycorn.
Matching their spoiled and self-righteous new target audience, in this new Equestria too nothing has to be earned anymore, not even through something as easy as a little patience.
Seriously, for every bit that makes me kinda hopeful for G5 they immediately add something that makes me wanna vomit.
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if all of this ends up as a huge load of reincarnation nonsense.

Budget and rendering limitations or one thing, but to introduce a major character like this seems like weak creativity. One of the things I loved about fim, is how they held things in suspense and when a thing did happen it was epic, and everypony in that scene reacted to that epic.
This was just: hitch holding an egg, egg goes poof, now hitch is holding a dragon. They could have hatched the dragon so many different ways, and gave it a rememberable beginning. *cries *

I’m assuming they blew all their money on King of Fighters XI A New Generation. Inevitably, the series will look like Reboot or the Money for Nothing music video. XD

The problem with this scene is the lack of “oh shit an egg just exploded in my face” reaction from Hitch. It seems so “video Game cut screen, oh here’s a new thing for game play” kinda of animation.
