This is why Dash should have realized that she should have changed everything about her if she truly knew and cared about how awesome she truly is. Those subjects about her that she should have changed are being a hero and growing up.
For pulling pranks like this and then being reprimanded or scolded about it is just why Dash was raised wrong. She should have had enough of her friends not seeing things the way Rainbow Dash does and became a villain bent on revenge for always being held back.
Second, by pulling awesome pranks like this she should have remained filly minded forever. If she were to learn that she had to give pranks up and how boring that would be for her, she would have done everything possible to remain as a filly or young pony forever.
