Sprout has his own mini game section. You’re supposed to chase him on roller blades while avoiding the traps. You even hear him taunt you to catch him if you can.

It’s not marketed for any gender, really, it’s a game for everyone. G5 is the most gender-neutral generation yet, thanks to the success and brony phenomenon of G4. There’s a reason why they added a male lead, to encourage a more gender-neutral approach to the series. So they could encourage little boys to play their game as they wanna encourage anyone to.

That said, I do think a reformation is possible, especially if Sprout will be playable. There’s also this Xbox achievements page that shows that an achievement in the game will be to ‘Catch and talk some sense into Sprout’

You forget that this game was never marketed for boys, so that is a ludicrous assumption. I think this has everything do to with his reformation. It isn’t something that was placed in by chance, after all. And we all knew Sprout was going to return in the series, wether people like it or not. So it only makes sense that he would be included in the game in some capacity.

Possible reformation aside, I think they just wanted boys to have a second option, and not be stuck with Hitch if they don’t wanna play as girls.

TyT only shows a short period of time, following up directly after the events of ‘a New Generation’. Not only that, but the episodes aren’t true ‘episodes’ as much as they are mere ‘shorts’, giving us brief glimpses as to what various characters are like. I have a feeling Sprout will be reformed in the upcoming special, though, especially if the game has him as a protagonist (something that the showrunners likely told the game creators to do ahead of time).

The game does seem to appear to set him up as a possible reformation. Which is a little odd given how he’s absent from Tell Your Tail aside from cameos on wanted posters.

Better question: what is Sprout doing as a playable character? Isn’t he a villain, or will he get reformed like certain past villains of FiM?

So you can play as Hitch to help Hitch with the bunies? Does that mean he goes it alone, or that you get double the Hitch?
