I quite liked it. People bitch about anything nowadays…

Thought it was pretty good, really. The memes didn’t bother me, what with references to things appearing in even the actual show. The Big Lebowski really took me by surprise, and in the best possible way too. That rug really tied the room together.
 
The animation was solid. The voicework was alright. Like every rollercoaster, it had its ups and downs. The sudden crossover took me waaaaaaaaay off-guard, but it didn’t take long for the nostalgia to kick in and start enjoying that as well. If anything, I’d say the ending was the only thing that my suspension of disbelief really had to struggle with. Whole damn town’s destroyed and she kind of just gets a slap on the wrist (ankle?).
 
All in all, I respect the quality and the hard work that must have gone into a project that thorough. Besides, any idiot who watches one fanvid and declares that the fandom as a whole is “ruined forever” really has no perspective. It’s one video. One of many. If anything, what makes me happiest about “Double Rainboom” is its potential to inspire other fan animators to create. Good things will come, people. Good things will come.

People can’t even appreciate free things anymore. This is why I can’t take the excessive criticisms seriously. We get it that it can be better. I can’t take seriously any opinion that goes towards saying how the project is ‘fraudulent’ or some BS like that. That IS a pretty autistic thing to say.

‘Ruining the fandom’ I think is going too far. I could appreciate it, but I won’t admire it.

So it wasn’t the world’s most amazing thing ever. I would still watch it a thousand times before rewatching the Mysterious Mare Do Well, and that’s a real episode.
