Since Flash Gitz and Freebooters are pirates they just travel around the universe looting for booty and shooting for fun, so them having any sort of whacky crew member or bizarre animal is actually lore-accurate. I mean in the first editions Freebooters even had access to “Chaos” orks and “gene-stealer orks” when the latter wheren’t really part of the tyranids

This is probably the universe where the Black Templars are so busy with furries, orks had to find something to do besides krumping each other.
