Its funny because I also did this several years ago.

In my original idea, I was also going to draw Phyllis standing beside Izzy with her long curly mane in a “bun.” Phyllis would be praising how pretty she looked while Sprout was losing it.

And MLP FIM movies were different than series. I just hope that Sprout will be there with them. (He and Pipp are my favorite characters).
Again, that ending was so dumb… Didn’t like it. They made Sprout look bad, and they just forgot about him. The biggest fail was that Hitch didn’t even cared about him at the end… Like they aren’t best childhood friends. Some sort of a “chickmagnet”.
The last scene of Sprout was when he was sad and said “Was I a good sheriff”… And his mom just ignored him. Very sad, and they just need to fix this. If not then they don’t need to do any episodes.

SC: What the?!

Sandwich pony: Did you just take a huge bite outta my ass?!

SC: WHAT IN THE FU–

Sandwich pone: Were you trying to molest me or kill me?!

SC: Izzy, what did you do to my sandwich?!

IM: NOTHING, I SWEAR!

SC: THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I HATE YOU GUYS! YOU GUYS ARE *%×$ £#%&*+ %=#$€¤ ¿§%@€&ГΩ (continues swearing and ranting about unicorns as he walks away from Izzy)

Also I respect your opinion. Just thinking about that poster… MLP FIM had 6 mane characters, but at almost every poster there were so many characters on… CMC, Discord,… They are all side characters.

And this with 5 mane characters just doesn’t work. One guy with 4 girls… Can’t work.

I agree with a good majority of the things you’ve said, but I still think there should be some consequences to Sprout’s actions that were done in the film. I think you’re kind of downplaying the things he did in the film, that gives him the title of being a “villain”, or as I prefer “antagonist” for him.
Such as destroying Sunny’s childhood home, instigating a whole entire mob, multiple cases of him stealing other ponies items, and food, with a bit of an god complex going on as well.
Though I think he still has time to become a good side character, rather than a main one.
Considering that the name “the mane 5” has been trademarked for gen 5, and that there’s a reason for why he isn’t on the posters, as he counts as a SIDE character, I just don’t think he’s joining the group as the 6th member.
He could be in the same spot as like Sunset Shimmer, or Starlight Glimmer though I suppose, if that’s the direction they want to go with him ofc.
BUT, this is just my opinion though.

Like, just think of them sitting together and she’s acting suspicious, so he outright is like “I know you’re up to something. You’re not going to catch me off-guard!” and she’s like “I’m not up to anything!” in a really playfully sinister tone because she made him a really nice lunch and she knows he’s not expecting it XD

I like the idea of these two being together since I feel like Izzy would be too dense to realize he was genuinely terrified of her and would think he was just playing around, while Sprout would think her niceness was a spider-and-the-fly style trap to lure him into her shed where her hoof-grinding machine was but would pretend to play along to try and get proof that unicorns were super-scary maniacs. Then, somehow, like all of Fry’s other brainwaves coming together to create a functioning brain, this somehow adds up to a functional and genuinely friendly relationship between the two where they actually spend a lot of time together XD

Sprout be like “Oh no, she’s wearing my mom’s glasses. And she looks cute in them!”

Just because he went crazy because of his best friend Hitch and his own mom. That makes him a “villain”? No. Hitch wasn’t a good friend lately. Didn’t care about him, looked down at him, and at the end he just forgot about him. He was with girls and said “we did it together as friends…” LOL. And simply forgot about his best friend from childhood… Sprout wanted to be a sheriff, but his dreams were destroyed by Hitch. Looking up to Hitch and wanted to be like him. Even his mom… It wasn’t easy for Sprout. Also, he is a mane character. There is new mane 6. Not fair that they don’t put him to posters.
It’s not just Sprout’s fault, I blame his mom and Hitch for that too.

They have to do something about this in the series. That Sprout apologizes and settles with Hitch and also with girls. Sunny is also his childhood friend.

In what way(s) Sprout was not a villain? That part I don’t understand. Not everyone, including the ones on this site, considers him a protagonist, due to his actions throughout the film (i.e. he destroyed Sunny’s home).
