I also have a headcanon that AJ could be a substitute home economics teacher. And she would be focused on cooking, babysitting and nursing and probably herbal medicines. And when it comes to clothes probably not on the fashion as much as cleaning clothes or sewing patches.

With respect, I think that that is a superficial idea on girliness and tomboyishness.
I think AJ’s a girly tomboy because even though she does a lot of boyish things, at her core she’s a motherly nurturer similar to Fluttershy who is also more sensitive and communal whereas Rainbow Dash is more agressive, more individualistic, less sensitive.

In fact in some ways, AJ could be more girly than Rarity. Because Rarity is a person who seeks after opportunity and ambition often in an agressive manner but AJ is more content to be in her own home and to help with her family.

This is why I like AJ and Fluttershy as friends. Because AJ could teach more inexperienced Fluttershy how to be a more firm motherly fellow. AJ and Fluttershy are more of the nurturers. Rarity and Rainbow Dash are the pursuers.

I think the idea of AJ as being a motherly nurturing tomboy is unique.

Nope, AJ tends to stand girly things more than RD

Yes, Gilda is True Tomboyish, remembering “GildaPie”, “GilDash” and “GildaShy”

Yellow Man has no words
one does not simply create a regular alignment chart
CocoaNut

@Sayaka3521

Look, it’s pretty well established that this alignment chart is terrible.

Heck, this can be proven by the fact that neutral alignments are often replaced with the word “true.” For example, Lawful Neutral and True Lawful. This alignment chart is trying to use a single alignment scope (girly to tomboy) twice. Therefore, the “true” ends up being just girly/girly, for example.

It reminds me more of Maid RPG traits than any actual alignment chart.
Sayaka3521

Sweetie Belle IS NOT A TOMBOY.
Sayaka3521

Maybe Fluttershy should be neutral girly.
Sayaka3521

Rarity should be in the true girly spot. Not Fluttershy. Fluttershy likes nature. Rarity hates it. A true girly girl wouldn’t like nature. And BTW, how is Fluttershy a girly girl? She should be neutral.

This alignment chart is a mess and I don’t think that the creator has ever used an actual alignment system.

Dashie and AJ should switch, RD has some girly habits while AJ has none.

You know what I don’t understand? When guys say: If a man cries, or dose’nt like sports thier homosexul, I hold no quarrel against homasexality, honestly, how stupid can people be? So what if a man cries big deal, we are all human so its natural, why are people SOO judgementle and stereo typical? Sigh

I would keep Rarity and Fluttershy in the same places really.

Rarity is certainly more outwardly girly but she displays it almost…masculinely.
She’s more individualistic, goal oriented etc.

Whereas Shy is a very girly character: usually feeble and gentle until her flock is threatened and then she becomes filled with rage. Like an angered mother bear.
Which is a feminine trope.

But that’s just me

@bboifatz You overthought the wording when I specifically mentioned not to. The first word is the secondary trait, but the second word is the primary trait which takes dominance.

Don’t half of these basically mean the same thing?

i agree with this chart for the most part, but i think aj and rd could actually switch places.

Women can be strong too. Rarity also likes fashion, is very emotional, cares about her appearance and generally behaves like a lady.
Background Pony #63C0
Pretty legit.
TenaxViator

AJ and RD sometimes swap their places.
RD actualy has more girly moments (especially with the Wonderbolts) and sometimes it’s clear she’s faking her “tough girl” persona. While AJ is pretty honest with who she is. We know how she stated that she doesn’t want her Gala dress to be even remotely girly.

You can be both girly and want to play in the mud like a tomboy.

Sweetie Belle counts as a tomboy?

… Hm.
