No, but its been a consistent thing from the beginning of the show. And does make sense. The ponies are not a warlike people. They’ve relied entirely on Celestia to protect them. And she’s relied on the Elements of Harmony. Its only been in the later seasons we’ve seen any sort of concern towards defenses and examples of foreign policy such as alliances with creatures like the Hippogriffs, Yaks, and Griffons. And even with former enemies like the Changelings and Dragons.

She’s not wrong. The Princesses have been next to useless since the beginning of the series.

Almost like Equestria is entirely reliant on the Princesses and magic for protection and doesn’t have any real defenses for over a thousand years.

Hopefully the sisters play a major role in our heroes’ victory!

They are lampshading on how the sisters are essentially failures, but are they freaking going to FIX the problem though? Or is it going to be a repeat of Season 9 on how things took a step forward for them(in terms of crisis stuff) in the premiere only to take many steps backward in the finale?
