I don’t feel sorry for Chrysalis. Her logic here is almost as stupid as that of anti-vaxxers and seven year olds. My “friends” betrayed me so therefore friendship is betrayal and destruction? This is typical “All ponies are racists” bullshit. Also, we don’t even get to see what Chrysalis and her changelings were up to before this happened, so it’s possible that they were planning an attack on Equestria and they deserved all this. Chrysalis did say she dreamed of conquering Equestria since she was small.
 
I don’t feel sorry for Tirek either. Tirek is only upset because his dad didn’t like him enough, but Vorak’s the authority. He can be a bitch to Tirek. He doesn’t have to let Tirek attend a military school. Tirek had no excuse to get angry at his father or try to steal Equestrian magic. He should have respected Vorak’s decision and not question or disobey him.
 
I don’t even need to talk about Cozy Glow’s story.

Even in a vacuum, its not a good comic. Chrysalis’ motivation is “we tried to screw the ponies but the ponies screwed us harder, so friendship is evil because I got bamboozled’. I just ignore the pages involving Cozy Glow.
 
I’d admit, Tirek has a good story but it pretty much has nothing to do with ponies, friendship, Equestria, etc (yet).

It retcons Chrysalis’ motivations and gives Cozy Glow a cliche abused child sob story but in a vacuum the comic is still good.

Let’s see if the comments devolve into a shitshow. That always seems to happen with anything relating to this comic
