Yeah, I read that story arc, but I’m not sure the Mane Six acting the way they do there under the tainted water’s influence matches up to the evil clones Chrysalis creates.

We’ve been over this. The Mane 6 went through much worse. Remember Return to Harmony, where Discord corrupted the Mane 6? Captured and imprisoned is one thing. Getting turned into the exact opposite of the Element a character represents is another thing all together.

Yeah, I understand your feelings about this finale. It didn’t help much that the Season 7 premiere acted as a continuation of this, showing the Mane Six and Royal Family not even having the slightest bit of fear or concern that they could end up like this again with Chrysalis still out there and on the warpath after losing her hive and the Swarm to Thorax.
This was probably the worst episode that Haber wrote, and no matter what, I can never get over the treatment he gave the Mane Six and Royal Family here as part of Chrysalis’ revenge against them for her past defeat at Shining Armor and Cadance’s wedding.

Not gonna lie: Because this episode I almost ragequitted the show. I originally planned to quit after the S7 and the Movie, and this despite I loved them so much. I was afraid of this becoming the new standard for the show, and I didn’t want to take the risk of seeing the Mane 6 trashed again…. If the leaks didn’t happen, proving me that I was wrong, I wouldn’t have decided to stay on this show until the end….

You’re not the only one who was disgusted by this episode because of the plot holes it left behind regarding not explaining how the Royal Family and the Mane Six were so easily subdued and cocooned at Chrysalis’ hive and left to suffer for God knows how long before rescue came in the form of Starlight and her Suicide Squad.
To think that it’s because this abomination many bronies turned their backs against the Mane 6…. The show stabilized itself since then as I loved the S7, the Movie and the S8 so far, but I still haven’t forgiven this episode for both the trashy treatment it reserved to the Mane 6 and the effects it caused to the fandom. It’s my most hated episode in the series.

It’s a lot better when you show at least their hooves clamping onto Twilight’s mouth and dragging her in the dark. Or at least zap her with a sleep spell from the dark. I am COME ON! At least the end of A Canterlot Wedding Part 1 gave us an idea of how Chrysalis captured Cadance.

Seriously, the way she captured them offscreen is insulting. At least in Princess Twilight Sparkle, we HEAR Princess Celestia get captured.
