Edit:I’m also aware that I can get sick again. I’m just try telling everyone that vaccines are useless and only made by the companies to make profit.

Vaccinating yourself against a flue like covid or Spanish flue or bird flue is like vaccinating yourself against death… Useless. a flue like these can easily evolve and overcome the protection the vaccines or any other medicine gives you. All the companies that makes these vaccines just wants the profit they doesn’t really care about you only about your money. :D

Update: the town I work in does not provide vaccines to people temporarily living here for summer work (despite our ministry of health and arguably the law stating they should, but whatever), so had to book a time in my hometown. Would have been nice if my hometown’s sms alert system for available vaccinations would’ve actually worked so I could have been aware whenever it actually happened that I was eligible for booking.

before we can all get rid of mask mandates, we need most of the population to be vaccinated
… did you genuinely missed the part where even the authorities admitted none of the current vaccines are effective at preventing transmission and they are only good at reducing severe forms of the disease ? They provide no herd immunity at all. You could have 99% of the population vaccinated and masks would still be needed.

But the comment I replied to matters. It bothers me there are so many self-declared empathatic people so quick to dehumanize others over this issue. Unless they’re the kind of person that berates strangers for drinking, smoking, or being overweight, I think that it’s less about concerns over public health and more about something else.

Being overweight is the most common contributor to weakened immune systems which in turn spreads more disease. Not to mention stressing our overstretched medical infrastructure by spending more time in ICUs due to obesity-related conditions and taking EMS runs for obesity-related accidents.
It shows people that you lack empathy by being fat. /s

Taking it personally when people tell you that what you’re doing is selfish and irresponsible doesn’t change the fact that it’s selfish and irresponsible.

Wow…..this comment thread right now shows nothing but forced decisions and opinions because one group believes one over the other and thinks they can force decisions on others because of this stupid pandemic. I’m not gonna play the “YOU BETTER LISTEN TO ME!” game and tell anyone who is supposed to do what or believe what, but making someone decide or believe something, whether they’re factual or fiction, against their own mental decisions already makes you arrogant in your own right. You can’t make anyone do or believe anything unless you’re some sort of dictator. Like get out of here with that crap! Getting a vaccine is heavily encouraged and I fully agree…that’s it! You are in no position whatsoever to tell people to get it, no matter how much you try to be aggressive towards them using mouthpieces to back you up. More importantly, it’s not mandatory to get it. No direct order from the President as far as the USA goes.

Or maybe some of us already have issues with auto-immune heart inflammation and want to wait for something that’s actually been tested thoroughly by independent bodies after being rushed to market by crooked corporations looking to secure lucrative government contracts. Just like going to church, getting a flu shot does not automatically make you a saint and all those who believe differently sinners.

As soon as a company make one that isn’t some half-assed garbage that has been rejected by our medicine-related security agency, and only allowed thanks to politicians making exemptions in exchange for baksheesh, sure.
 
The current ones aren’t even helping with herd immunity anyway, since you can still get others sick despite it. So there is literally 0 moral responsibility taking it or not, for once.

Still waiting for my age group to be up for getting it. Hopefully the town I’m working in for the summer will give it to me, since they are quite a bit ahead of my home city in vaccinations (giving them out to my age group right now as opposed to around august/september)
