I don’t dislike this. It’s just that I’ve gotten so used to floors being spotlights that I didn’t notice that they actually aren’t and may just be an aesthetic choice just to show there’s a floor under the objects. The official Megaman games do pretty much the same thing (the oddly-shaped visibility of surface) with some of their title screens.
