Seems to me like this fandom has a knack for getting a lot from a little. Also thanks, I updated the tags to my Twitter handle.
That would be my leaning as well, it probbaly needs a bit more last longer than just a brief meme though considering how the fandom was able to churn out 100K word fan fics and art for characters with barely any spoken lines and a few background apperances in FiM I can’t rule something blooming out from just this. Short wasn’t really my style (humor and voice acting) but I can see why it is getting some love.

The artist here, I literally checked /mlp/ for the first time ever and found this short. I like the design, but I’m not sure if it’d be sustainable with just one character and a dark version. If Shawn decides to flesh out the world and make more hit designs, it just might become its own little subculture.
