Ooh, at first I read it as “knowing that she is not alone”, and thought it was a cheeky pega who stuffed a micro under her hoof and then went for a long walk (despite being a pegasus).

One of those typical macro/micro cliches, where the macro just cannot feel the smaller one in their footwears even though that’s not how sensitivity works. And the micro obviously sneaked in when the macro was not looking, without considering the consequences I once read a story where the macro actually enjoys having something in their shoes despite not knowing what or who it was. :P
