Look, I don’t get your logic here. You can’t argue that something being illegal means it doesn’t sell, that just doesn’t make any sense. Plenty of people prostitute, even knowing it’s illegal, because it does sell.
 
And the same regressive/repressed people who fight to make prostitution illegal frequently try to do the same to porn (look up the history of things like obscenity laws and so forth), they just haven’t been as successful because attitudes stigmatizing porn aren’t as strong, and because First Amendment challenges protect a lot of porn from would-be morality police.

Sex sells extremely well. Idiots making some types sex work illegal because they think their stone age “morality” should be imposed on everyone just creates a lot of stigmas and illusions about it.

Pretty sure those people would have been drown out by now if sex sold as well as you’re claiming. And that doesn’t explain why porn sells, since those people would also be against that.
