I think it only happened because Dubstep is the “in” music right now. I think she’d be more in love with Psytrance and Breakcore than Dubstep.

Tempo is the speed of the song’s beat. Usually measured in beats per minute. Dubstep is technically around 140 beats per minute, but it’s played at half tempo, so it’s more like 70.
Melody is, “a linear succession of musical tones that the listener perceives as a single entity” (wiki entry, not really good at explaining this stuff myself).
Bass is the really deep sounding notes. In Electronic music it’s meant to make the song feel more “full”.
Okay, now tell me what bass, tempo, and melody mean.
(I told you I don’t know a thing about music)
Mah nigga
That was house.
@GargantuanBass
Tuneless, bassy WUBWUBWUB noises and loud thumping.
It’s basically some slow tempo kick-snare-kick-snare jargon that focuses heavily on extremely distorted bass rather than melody.
There is that, its all about the collective decision we make as a fandom, the default interaction between characters and their personalities are all defined in this way i guess.
Is it a social thingie? I cant say, I’m a, mostly, technical person (math, physics, programming), not a sociologist :)
Pendulum? That “174 Bpm KICK SNARE KICKSNARE” band?
And also, though it may make people groan, it helps with the Vinyl and Octavia dichotomy.
Octavia likes the old classical and pleasant music
Vinyl likes the newest loudest and most obnoxious music
no?
oh okay :c
