I have no idea. Probably not. Been long enough that whoever it was probably (hopefully) has a real job now, and is hopefully better at that job than at being a lifeguard. I don’t really bear any grudges about it, though. I’m still alive, no permanent harm. All in the past. Besides, if I were to get mad at everyone who (accidentally) almost got me killed, I’d be consumed by self-loathing. I have almost died a lot of times. I don’t remember a lot of them.

I really hope that lifeguard no longer has their job.

One time I almost drowned. The lifeguard didn’t help at all. I believe that I am only alive today because my mom had recently seen some video on what drowning looked like. If she didn’t, she probably wouldn’t have known I was drowning.

I have almost died a lot of times.
