Yes I found that out. It was showing up as generic text in the preview and as boxes after upload. Don’t know how or why I forgot such a basic bit of know-how between now and when I last uploaded an SVG with text… maybe I’m finally beginning to “get old”.
I didn’t see the original image so I don’t know if this really was the case, but if you embed text in SVGs, you must convert it to paths. SVGs don’t embed fonts, so your text probably won’t show up correctly because Derpi’s server does not have the font you used. It showed up fine in the preview because it’s done locally in your computer (with the fonts available), not on the server end. Converting the text to path makes it uneditable, but now it shows up correctly because it’s just vector shapes, no font needed.
I have no idea why it doesn’t work, it showed up fine in upload preview and the template is the same I used earlier without any trouble at all .__.
It’s supposed to say “Eyestrain warning”.
