don’t forget that the bugs in ponyville were under twilight’s spell. presumably the ones in fillydelphia weren’t, so they only ate the food, not the city.

Fillydelphia is presumably a lot bigger than quaint little Ponyville. It could’ve been a case of clearing out one district, missing a single sprite that wandered somewhere else, having to clear out that population explosion…

Plus, don’t forget that the most devastation came after Twilight made the parasprites willing and able to eat buildings.
