Interesting, but the thing is we allow things that are even more obscurely connected than this. I’ve taken time to consider how pony-related the other mods generally want images to be, and it’s generally agreed that the presence of a ponies image is very important to a picture.
 
I consider a case where someone posted an wall of text describing humourous US laws, it had a small pony added that took little space. I asked if the image should be deleted and The Smiling Pony informed me that we generally keep these images because at least they have a pony.
 
It’s straight forward in my mind, does the image have a pony? In this case yes, there is a pony.

I know of the “Thanks M.A Larson” meme, but like I said, it doesn’t really help that some things are not pony related but are on here just for having a pony slapped onto it, we need a more standard was of telling what does and doesn’t count, and I have seen some things more pony related be removed as well, sometimes it seem it’s all on who sees it, you say it is but I wouldn’t be surprised if another mad thinks it’s not.

It is fandom-related, albeit not very much. “Thanks M.A Larson” is a popular brony meme. And obviously this guy wouldn’t be chatting with Larson if not for MLP.

I think lots of people have said it, just slapping a pony on something doesn’t make it pony related, and this counts too.
