Also since this comic takes place is a mild to cold climate (based on the Pacific Northwest), 75 would be considered hot to most. They are used to winter temps in the 40s-50s and summer temps in the 60s-70s.
 
To me personally, I think upper 70s and 80s is hot.

The temperature on the thermostat isn’t the temperature the heater pumps out. The air put out by the heating system is way hotter, and also very dry, which increases the perception of heat.

Wait that’s warm for some of you guys…really? Currently as of this post, it’s 85℉ and a few days ago was 65℉ those were the coldest day we have here in my country. 75℉ is a friggin’ comfy room temperature!

Yeah, but it’s the difference between intentionally jumping in a hot tub on a cool autumn day and being forced to wade around in an indoor heated swimming pool on a hot day when you’re trying to cool off. This comic is about a matter of comfort, not survival.

I miss the show so much
I don’t know how much 74F is in proper units, but shouldn’t Spike be able to tolerate significant heat? He can swim in lava, it should be impossible for the inside temperature to get too hot for him.
